Indivisible Skagit (IndiSkagit) is a locally based, horizontally self-organized group of concerned, action-oriented members. We are a local chapter of the national Indivisible Movement.

 

​The Support Team provides organizational and leadership support for our work groups or action teams at their request. The Support Team has no authority over IndiSkagit action teams.

 

The Support Team has assumed responsibility for communications including the website, e-newsletter, Facebook Group, and other social media. We schedule and plan some workshops and in person meetings for members to build their skills for activism. 

 

One or more Support Team members participate in regional Indivisible meetings with staff from our members of Congress. 

 

Occasionally, IndiSkagit receives requests from other progressive groups to sign letters of support or endorse a particular action campaign. The Support Team refers the request to the relevant action team, posts these requests on the Facebook Group to enable timely member response, and makes a decision based on the response and suggestions of our members, the action team, and/or the Support Team.

 

Members may join the Support Team, send requests or suggestions, and attend Support Team meetings. Decisions are made by consensus among those present. We ask those interested in joining the Support Team to attend 3 consecutive meetings before deciding if you are able to make the commitment to serve on this team.

 

Members are welcome to attend Support Team meetings. Support Team meetings are "normally" held the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 4:00. Contact us at info@inidivisibleskagit.org for details about the next meeting.
